Claire and Dale Engagement Session

I love watching people fall in love at all the different stages of their lives. Falling in love with each other, getting engaged, then falling deeper in love when they get married. Then there's the love you couldn't ever imagine when you have your first child. This wonderful couple is at the beginning of that amazing journey, and spending the afternoon with Claire and Dale was so fun. Their love is clearly shining through these images.

Claire and Dale have a unique meet cute story. They met in high school through a mutual friend and started dating their freshman year, but come to find out later on that Claire's godfather is actually good friends with Dale's family, and as toddlers they went sledding together! Their engagement was fate right from the beginning!

I thought that Claire's engagement ring was so unique, I asked her how they had found it. It was an Instagram ad that Claire had found, but it was so unlike everything else she had liked as far as engagement rings go, Dale was so nervous, but he went out on a limb and its lovely!

Claire threw Dale a Masquerade/Halloween themed birthday party for his last birthday and Dale decided that was the night he was going to propose to Claire. Her father ended up running late to the party so Dale had to wait three hours before he could propose and he was so nervous! He needn't have been at all because she said yes and LOVED her ring. Claire said it is so typical of Dale to turn something that is supposed to be about him into a wonderful night for someone else.

Both Claire and Dale are enjoying their engagement but looking forward to being married, starting a family, and having their own family traditions. Take a peak below to see some of my favorites from their engagement session!
